A Victorian mahogany writing table dating to circa 1850–1870.

The table has a rectangular top with a raised gallery to three sides, above two frieze drawers fitted with turned wooden handles. It stands on four substantial barley-twist legs with decorative roundel detailing, terminating in castors.

A well-made and practical piece, suitable for use as a writing desk, side table or console table.
