An unusual vintage canvas return sack, stencilled with the words "RETURN EMPTY TO ROYAL MINT LONDON E.C.3".

Made from heavy woven cotton or canvas, with stitched seams and faded black lettering. The fabric has developed plenty of wear, staining and discolouration from age and use.

An interesting piece of British industrial history, ideal for display or as a decorative textile.
