A large Danish sterling silver brooch by Georg Jensen, designed by Kristian Møhl-Hansen and dating to circa 1933–1944.
Design No. 70 depicts a stylised dove surrounded by sweeping leaves and foliage, worked in relief with open sections between the bird and surrounding decoration. The reverse retains its original long pin fitting and is fully marked for Georg Jensen, Sterling Denmark and design number 70.
A classic piece of early Georg Jensen jewellery and a particularly striking example of Danish silver design.
