A good honest 19th century country ladderback chair in ash and elm with four shaped ladder slats, a solid plank seat and turned front stretcher. Nicely proportioned with strong grain and deep colour throughout.

A classic provincial chair with plenty of character and honest wear from years of use. Decorative enough to work in a period interior but still entirely practical as an everyday chair.
