A hand-coloured early 19th century engraved map titled “Map of the Roads of Scotland”, published in London and dated 1801.

The map shows Scotland divided into counties with road networks clearly marked, alongside coastal detail, towns and distances. Presented in soft original colouring with clear line work, typical of the period. The Shetland and Western Isles are shown in inset panels, adding to the overall balance of the composition.

Mounted and ready for framing, this is a clean decorative example that still retains good clarity and colour. A solid piece that works equally well as a decorative wall item or for those with an interest in early Scottish cartography.
